Overview of Services
Our staff includes St. Luke's Hospital physicians, nurses and healthcare professionals who specialize in the care of older adults. They monitor our residents' healthcare needs every single day and, when a medical issue arises, our healthcare team addresses it without delay.
Because we are part of St. Luke's Hospital - one of the top hospitals in the country - physicians from St. Luke's come to Surrey Place to provide residents with individualized care. In addition the St. Luke's physicians that visit Surrey Place, there is also a podiatrist, who sees patients upon request, as well as a dentist. When residents need more care than we can provide onsite, we provide complimentary transportation to St. Luke's Hospital and physician office buildings where they receive all the care they need.
Our medical care is simply the best - and we intend to keep it that way. St. Luke's Surrey Place has been named a "Best Nursing Home" by U.S. News & World Report. The skilled nursing facility received the highest possible overall rating of five stars in U.S. News' seventh annual Best Nursing Homes ratings.
To maintain this high level of quality care for our residents, we regularly provide educational programs for our staff. During these learning sessions, our physicians and other instructors teach staff members about the latest treatment options for diseases and conditions including depression, dementia and incontinence. That means our staff members continually gain the knowledge they need to provide top-quality care for older adults.
Dr. Jeffrey Boesch, MD serves as our medical director. He earned his medical degree at Michigan State University and is board-certified in Geriatrics and Internal Medicine.
